Mr. Jalali learned theater and cinema as an amateur, and in the first film he starred in, he was named Nightingale.
He was recently the host of the comedy show “Laughter”.
The Afghan Presidential Palace has issued a statement condoling the death of Mr. Jalali to his family and the Afghan art community.
The statement quoted Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani as saying, “Mohammad Asif Jalali’s happy psyche, by performing allegorical fabrics and playing comedy roles in the country’s media, makes people laugh and tries to reform society in this way.” “
